About Us
Childrens Theatre Bo'ness is a charitable organisation who perform annual shows comprised of young performers aged from 9 to 17 years old. We rehearse 2 times a week, going up to 3 as the show draws closer, to ensure our shows and young performers are the best they can possibly be for when we perform our shows in the Bo'ness Town Hall. Since our founding in 2000 we have performed a variety of shows from pantomimes to musicals to cabarets, as well as being invited to preform throughout the central belt. We are registered with the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA).
The company was founded by Nan McDonald, who has years of experience in producing both adult and youth theatre. Nan and her husband, Bill McDonald, ran the company together for many years until Nan retired in 2017 and Bill retired a few years later in 2020. Since then the company was taken over by the admin team who has successfully grown the company more and produced several successful performances since.
Our Objective
CTB aims to create a safe place for young performs between 9 and 17 to develop their performance skills in all areas of theatre shows, as well as building their confidence and giving them the joy of theatre performances.
We take great pride in our talented young performers, whether they can sign, dance or sing, and they are what makes our productions as magical as they are.
